The city networks own over 50% of the fiber optic network infrastructure in Sweden and it is rented out to many different data and telecommunication companies. Mobile operators increase renting fiber network to be able to secure the capacity of their mobile networks. Fixed network operators rent fiber to deliver its broadband services to consumers and large companies.

A large number of rental transactions between the city networks and operators take place every year. And for several years, there has been existed a fundamental service for data and telecommunication industry, CESAR, which made network renting easier due to standard terms and conditions as well as through a digital portal for inquiries.

The digital portal for inquiries is modernized with help of Cezar2 based on groundbreaking technology allowing to show quickly on Web-based digital map available fiber optic network infrastructure or provide estimates on new built network. "It's great that we can now make the city networks more competitive by simplifying and streamlining their businesses," said Managing Director of SSNf Mikael Ek. Furthermore, Mikael Ek add: "Digpro Solutions won the contract in a competitive procurement process and after a development work that has been ongoing for nearly two years, we are now very pleased with how the new service is functioning."

Jonas Jacobsson, Managing Director Digpro Solutions: "Requirements from SSNf have been challenging. CESAR2 is a fantastic opportunity for us to show the data and telecom market the strength of combining the machinery behind the geographical information system with process management. With CESAR2 many users shall experience the benefits of having the business geographically structured and searchable in an NCB solution. We are fully confident that this service will revolutionize the way of doing business with the infrastructure."
